On the occasion of his 75th birthday, Pablo Picasso visits his nephew, the painter Javier Vilató, in Cannes. On a paved patio, Vilató, dressed in a dark vest, presents his work to an intimate audience of friends and family. Seated in the center, Picasso observes the presentation alongside his art dealer, Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler. Also present are Jacqueline Roque, painter Edouard Pignon, Spanish publisher Gustavo Gili with his wife Anna Maria, and the Sapone family. The informal viewing took place on 25 October 1956.
