Reproduction License

As we own the approximately 180,000 negatives of all Quinn photos and hold exclusive rights to the photographer’s work, we either already have or can produce high-resolution scans of all photos, which can be licensed for reproduction upon request.

Reproduction licenses are only made available for professional clients such as media outlets, museums, auction houses etc. We do not provide image files for purchase to be privately printed. If you are interested in buying a print of one of Quinn’s photographs, please see Fine art estate prints.

Very large scans for oversize displays, e.g. for museums, posters or interior decoration, may need to be specially produced, which can take around a week. The same applies to photos that are not published here, but which are available on request.

The license fee shall be determined in accordance with the nature and location of usage, the size and placement of the photo, the circulation and reach of the medium as well as the nature of the medium (print, website, app, video, film).

Ordering photos from the Edward Quinn Archive is not an automated process, but a personal service that is as individual as your project. We are a small team and typically respond promptly to incoming requests. Please note the potential time difference – for instance, here in Switzerland we are six hours ahead of New York.

We do sell reproduction rights for social media use in the resolution of longer edge max. 800 pix and 72 dpi. and always with the credit Photo Edward Quinn, © edwardquinn.com in a corner of the picture. We regret that this is necessary, but copyright infringement is rampant on social media.
