Jean Cocteau directs and acts in his final film, "Le Testament d’Orphée," in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, 1959. In this surreal garden tableau, Cocteau strikes a dramatic pose while Francine Weisweiller, in a high-collared period gown, watches a horned, masked figure enter a doorway. Observing the scene from the balcony above are several friends Cocteau invited to appear in the film: painters Renato Guttuso and Alberto Magnelli, a capped Pablo Picasso, and his tailor, Michele Sapone.
