Something begun as a bouquet has become first a fish, then a cock, and finally the head of a faun. In the foreground ashtrays transformed into pots for colored inks. "Le mystère Picasso", Nice, Studios de la Victorine 1955.
During the filming of *Le mystère Picasso* in Nice, a whimsical head of a faun is painted directly onto a window pane. The form, which began as a bouquet before becoming a fish and then a cock, is the final result of Pablo Picasso’s fluid creation. In the foreground, a row of white ‘CINZANO’ ashtrays has been transformed into makeshift pots for colored inks, which sit on a wooden shelf beside glass jars. Studios de la Victorine, 1955.
