Pablo Picasso introduces Claude Picasso to a new pet, a talking parrot, which is squatting on his arm. La Californie, Cannes 1960.

In his studio at the Villa La Californie, a shirtless Pablo Picasso introduces his son, Claude, to a new pet parrot. Holding a cigarette behind his back, the artist leans in to gently touch the bird as it perches on Claude’s outstretched arm. The scene unfolds amidst a creative clutter of modernist canvases, drawings, and potted plants that fill the workspace. Cannes, 1960.
