Plaster moulds/blocks for the production of ceramic editions. Madoura pottery, Vallauris 1961.
Plaster moulds and blocks for producing ceramic editions rest on the stone-paved floor of the Madoura pottery workshop in Vallauris, 1961. In this overhead view, strong sunlight casts deep shadows, highlighting the textures and relief designs. Among the circular forms are a plaque featuring a mythological scene with a dancing figure, another with a whimsical abstract face, and a deeper mold containing the clean, linear profile of a classical-style head.
