Pablo Picasso working on linogravure rehaussée, the so called épreuves rincées (rinsed proofs). Mas Notre-Dame-de-Vie, Mougins 1964.

At his studio in Mas Notre-Dame-de-Vie, Mougins, Pablo Picasso is captured working on a linogravure rehaussée in 1964. Dressed in a dark v-neck sweater and glasses, he stands over a table where several bold linocut prints are laid out. His hands, a blur of motion, handle a large sheet of paper in the process known as épreuves rincées (rinsed proofs). The wall behind him is wainscoted with decorative, patterned tiles.
