
One day Quinn asked Pablo Picasso if he could photograph the top floor studios. He agreed and prcoeeded to take out, one by one, old and new paintings from his collection. At Edward Quinn’s request, the artist brought out works from his personal collection, surrounding himself with an array of old and new paintings. Among them are a large Cubist portrait of a seated woman in a hat and, stacked against a stone wall, a canvas with the date "24.10.57." written on its reverse.
