One day Quinn asked Pablo Picasso if he could photograph the top floor studios. He agreed and prcoeeded to take out, one by one, old and new paintings from his collection.
Invited by Pablo Picasso to his top-floor studios, Edward Quinn documented the artist revealing works from his personal collection. This photograph captures an unframed canvas of several birds resting in a wooden storage rack against a rough stone wall. Rendered in a high-contrast style, the composition features a bird with outstretched wings, a centrally positioned striped bird, and a smaller bird perched beside a white rectangle. An inventory tag marked "124" is affixed to the rack above the artwork.
