Ceramic photographed 1972 by Quinn for the book: Ramié, Georges. "Céramique de Pablo Picasso", Cercle d'art, Paris 1974.
A handmade, oval-shaped ceramic plate by Pablo Picasso, resting on a bed of smooth gray pebbles. The plate, with its glossy, reddish-brown glaze and irregular edge, is decorated with a stylized painting of fruit: dark blue grapes on a turquoise background and a larger, melon-like form in pale yellow and green. Light brown leaves with etched veins complete the composition. Edward Quinn photographed the piece in 1972 for Georges Ramié's book, "Céramique de Pablo Picasso" (1974).
