A ceramic plate by Pablo Picasso, shown from its underside on a bed of dark grey gravel. Photographed by Edward Quinn in 1972, the off-white plate is decorated with hand-painted, stylized leaf motifs. The base is inscribed "VALLAURIS" and dated "23.5.56.", alongside the "EMPREINTE ORIGINALE DE PICASSO" and "MADOURA PLEIN FEU" stamps. This overhead photograph was taken for Georges Ramié's 1974 book, *Céramique de Pablo Picasso*.
