Ceramic photographed 1972 by Quinn for the book: Ramié, Georges. "Céramique de Pablo Picasso", Cercle d'art, Paris 1974.
A ceramic vase by Pablo Picasso, photographed by Edward Quinn in 1972 for Georges Ramié's book, "Céramique de Pablo Picasso." Resting on a wooden pedestal, the terracotta and white vessel is decorated with stylized fish in a bichrome design. Its surface is vertically divided into contrasting sections of matte white and the natural reddish-brown of the clay. On one side, a reddish-brown fish with incised outlines is set against white; on the other, a white fish appears on the terracotta ground. An inscription, "29 Juin..." is carved into the neck.
