Luis Miguel Dominguin. Corrida Arles 1960. A bullfight Picasso attended (see "Picasso").

In the bullring of Arles, 1960, matador Luis Miguel Dominguin raises his arms in triumph. Clad in a light-colored, ornately embroidered "traje de luces," he looks toward the dark bull, which stands in profile with decorated darts, or banderillas, in its back. In the background, packed stands watch the spectacle, part of a corrida also attended by Pablo Picasso.
