At the bullfight from left: Francine Weisweiller, Jean Cocteau, Pablo Picasso, Catherine Hutin, Luis Miguel Dominguin (spectator because of injuries). Corrida des vendanges. Arles 1959.
At the Corrida des vendanges in Arles in 1959, filmmaker Jean Cocteau stands beside artist Pablo Picasso, who examines a small box. To Picasso’s right are his stepdaughter, Catherine Hutin, and the celebrated bullfighter Luis Miguel Dominguín. Sidelined by injuries and attending as a spectator, Dominguín smiles broadly at the artist. The group, which also includes Francine Weisweiller (far left), is captured among the crowd.
