The latest Quinn book:
STARS AND CARS OF THE '50s
A reprieve from post-war austerity, the 1950s epitomized a time of glamour with its film icons and automobiles, which are admired and emulated to this day. Edward Quinn captured all the stars and idols from the worlds of film, music and the arts, as well as their admirers. Picasso with his Hispano Suiza, Brigitte Bardot in a Lancia and Onassis with his Thunderbird, and many more are featured with their motor toys. With a keen eye, Quinn’s images define fifties style.

The previous Quinn book:
RIVIERA COCKTAIL
The French Riviera of the Fifties was an exciting place with much change in the air. Rock and roll and the bikini, existentialism and the atom bomb. Edward Quinn chronicled a playground that was influenced by international trends, but very much its own universe. On the Riviera every night was a party. With a polished technique and great patience and charm, Quinn caught some of the post-war Riviera's most memorable moments.

Edward Quinn
born 1920 in Ireland, lived and worked as a photographer since
the fifties on the Côte d’Azur, which was at that time the playground
of the celebrities from the world of show biz, art and business.

The Edward Quinn Archive contains more than 100'000 photos
taken by Edward Quinn on the Côte d’Azur during the fifties up to the
seventies. Most likely all the very important personalities who
came to the Riviera during the “Golden Fifties” were photographed
by Quinn. The most important part of the archive consists of over
10’000 photos of Picasso.
