Exhibition Planning

We have organized many individual exhibitions over the past years. These include exhibitions in galleries as well as in museums and other public institutions. All of our exhibitions are listed under the heading Exhibitions.

Complete exhibitions are available, such as

  • Stars and Cars of the ’50s
  • Riviera Cocktail
  • My Friend Picasso
  • Picasso: An Intimate Portrait
  • Picasso to Hockney –  Edward Quinn. Photographer of Artists

Individual photographs can also be loaned for exhibitions.

We work closely together with exhibition organizers and jointly decide on the selection of images. The pictures – estate prints in most cases – are either available in the archive or can be produced in our lab.

Available holdings also include vintage prints, contact prints, historical press clippings, Quinn’s cameras, documents and films.

We provide the relevant information for captions, wall texts, catalogue publications and promotional activities.

Estate prints that are loaned for exhibitions have a standard size of 30 x 40 cm (12 x 16 in.) or 40 x 50 cm (16 x 20 in.).

Large displays – exceeding 50 x 60 cm (20 x 24 in.) – can be produced by the exhibitor on the basis of scans provided by the Archive.

Framing is the responsibility of the exhibitor. A limited number of natural wood frames are available in the size of 50 x 60 cm (20 x 24 in.) for photos measuring 40 x 50 cm (16 x 20 in.).

Payment charges for the exhibitor are based on a per image loan fee, costs for transport and insurance, and a fee for promotional content and catalogue publications. A sample contract is available upon request.
